The Advanced Materials Technology Centre (AMTC) aims to integrate Advanced Materials Technology activities in Singapore Polytechnic and to build a multi-disciplinary and vibrant innovation climate. The Centre is a poly-wide network building on established excellence in relevant R&D and education in School of Chemical & Life Sciences, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, School of Mechanical & Aeronautial Engineering and School of the Built Environment.

The AMTC provides the interface necessary between R&D and industrial applications. The work is done in close collaborations with government agencies, enterprises, local & overseas research institutions / universities, professional associations.

The AMTC allows commercial companies access to state-of-the-art fabrication and analysis equipment in Singapore Polytechnic. The Centre aspires to transfer technologies developed to industry through collaboration, consultation and joint spin-offs.

Students will also benefit from being trained in skills and competencies required to support aerospace MRO, semiconductor, solar PV manufacturing, storage/memory, displays, photonics, precision engineering, ship repair, oil/gas, specialty chemicals, nanotechnology, personal care, industrial biotech etc.
